BAIQ · FIRST LEAGUE 2026
Simple · Transparent · No handicap or bonus
Guide revision: 01 October 2026. The current score-review version and its saved deadline remain authoritative.
LEAGUE SCORING FLOW
Upload QBF score sheets and check nicknames, lanes, scores and actual games played. Multiple invoices for one league event form one weekly result; points are awarded only once.
The system calculates averages, ranks and points. Missing scores, duplicate players, teams without games and unresolved weekly ties prevent review. Testing, cancelled and excluded sessions do not count toward league results.
New review versions use a 24-hour window. The Officer selects “Send checked results for 24-hour review”; the deadline starts when that action is saved, rather than when a WhatsApp message is read. Copy the review message and share it with the teams. Week 1 retains its existing saved 48-hour window. Always follow the deadline displayed for the current version.
Open League → Team Score Verification, then select the event, member name and registered WhatsApp number. A member may act only for their own team in the event roster, including rostered members who did not play. The number is matched against existing records; this flow does not currently use OTP.
One member represents the whole team. Confirmation immediately closes appeals for all members of that team for this version, even before the deadline. Read and accept the acknowledgement before confirming.
Appeal before confirming and before the deadline. Identify the bowler, game, recorded score and correction. Attach a score-sheet photo: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 6 MB. Only one open appeal is allowed per team. Confirmation waits until it is resolved.
The Officer checks evidence and records the decision. Rejection keeps the same version and deadline. An accepted correction reopens draft results; the Officer checks and sends a new version for review. Corrections may affect other teams’ ranks and points, so all teams review the new version. Earlier confirmations remain in history and do not apply to the new version.
Publication requires all teams to confirm, or their saved deadline to expire, and all appeals to be resolved. “No response” is recorded separately from “Confirmed”. Deadline expiry does not publish results automatically; the Officer must select “Publish”. Scores are locked during review and after publication. Further changes require “Begin a corrected version”, a reason and renewed review. Revised results are temporarily excluded from official standings until republished.
TEAM SCORING RULES
M-BAIQ has four teams and L-BAIQ has two. Ranking and baseline calculations are separate for each division.
Use original scores from 0 to 300 pins, with no handicap or bonus. Blank means unplayed; zero means a played game and counts in the divisor. Absence does not add games or zero scores. Attending players do not take over an absent player’s games.
Actual players / pins includes every scored player and all their pins. Baseline N / pins uses the top N players only to break a tie. Team average uses total actual pinfall divided by total actual games, rather than a simple average of player averages. Comparison uses the unrounded values; two decimal places are for display.
| Players | Games | Example pinfall |
|---|---|---|
| 7 players × 3 games | 21 | 3,150 |
| 1 player injured after 2 games | 2 | 300 |
| Total | 23 | 3,450 |
Team average = 3,450 ÷ 23 = 150.00. The unplayed third game remains blank and does not count as zero.
Rank teams by weekly average, highest first. Points are awarded once per league event/week, even when several invoices contribute scores.
| Rank | M-BAIQ · 4 teams | L-BAIQ · 2 teams |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 points | 2 points |
| 2 | 3 points | 1 point |
| 3 | 2 points | — |
| 4 | 1 point | — |
Baseline does not replace averages or points. N is the smallest number of active scored players among teams in the same division for the relevant period.
For active rosters of 8, 8, 8 and 9, N = 8. The nine-player team uses its top eight totals only for the tie-break; all nine players’ games count toward the weekly average.
Highest total official weekly points. Equal points use accumulated season baseline pinfall. An exact remaining tie shares the rank pending an Officer ruling; no random winner is selected.
Highest accumulated scratch average. Tie-breaks are more games, then greater pinfall. Identical values share the rank. Substitute scores belong to that substitute’s individual statistics.
